Released on 10 June 1985 "Little Creatures" was the sixth estudio album by US rock band Talking Heads, the album examined themes of Americana and incorporates elements of country music, with many songs featuring steel guitar, and sold more than two million copies sold in the United States. The cover art was created by outsider artist Howard Finster, and was selected as album cover of the year by Rolling Stone. The album spawned four singles "The Lady Don't Mind", "Road To Nowhere", "And She Was", & "Stap Up Late".
Considered their most accessible and commercial album, noticed about Byrne's vocal inflexions and the change of rhythm on every track, LThe Lady Don't Mind" is addictive but "Road To Nowhere" was even better with an interesting video that left mark on the MTV, this propelled the album to massive audiences, and by the time when third single "And She Was" established finally the band in the mainstream taste for good, the album had other cool tracks such a "Television Man" and "Creatures Love" fairly enough to made this odd record and interesting one, despite many critics and fans don't even considered it as one of their best works to date
The album opened with single "And She Was" smooth and light pop as a reminder of the early days othe Talking Heads, "Give Me Back My Name" a little but pesimist and intense sound effects that gave a decadent focus in the way that Byrne sang, "Creature Of Love" had a smooth sound showed a quality on its guitar sound and keyboard, "The Lady Don't Mind" originally a descartable track, then "Speaking In Tongues" and finally "Perfect World" with a more soft and calm melody. "Stay Up Late" was a filler but prepared the mood for "Walk It Down", again a pop full of several tones, "Little Creatures" followed the same premise as the preccedent track, "Road To Nowhere" is the jewel of the crown and the song that made the record worth, accompanied of video equal rare full of curious aesthetics nowadays a classic, and finally a formidable mix version of "The Lady Don't Mind".
