Discos: The Specials Por Relanzar Tres Discos De Estudio

Los tres albumes de estudio original que la banda The Specials lanzó con el sello 2-Tone: "The Specials" (1979), "More Specials" (1980) e "In The Studio" (1984) este último fue lanzado meses más tarde bajo el nombre origial de la banda The Special AKA. 

Estos discos volverán a ser lanzandos en marzo en versiones expandidas de 2CD que contendrán los singles que no aparecieron en los discos, material en directo e instrumentalizaciones varias más las infaltables Peel Sessions.

Los discos se esperan que salgan vía 2 Tone Records/Warners Catalogue, junto a las deluxe editions remasterizados por Tim Debney el próximo 30 de marzo, con los siguientes extras:

• The Specials: The Too Much Too Young live EP un CD con un concierto grabado por la BBC at the Paris Theatre en diciembre de 1979.
• More Specials: Non-album singles, que incluye clásicos como “Ghost Town,” más las John Peel session recordings, y varias versiones extendidas más versiones single.
• In the Studio:  Non-album singles incluye “The Boiler” y “Jungle Music,” una Peel session grabada en 1983, y seis versiones instrumentales de varios tracks del álbum.

Además, cada disco vendrá acompañado de nuevos libretos con notas a cargo de Lois Wilson, así como raras y no vistas antes imágenes de Chalkie Davies, muchas de las cuales fueron usadas para crear variaciones de los discos de la banda. Como sabemos la banda se volvío a unir en el 2008 sin el co-fundador Jerry Dammers, en el 2013 Neville Staples dejó la banda y actualmente se preparan para lo que será su primer concierto en México el próximo 12 de marzo.
