New Music: Take Me By The Hand

           

Taken from Echo And The Bunnymen's new album "Apples For Isaac" out today, "Take Me By The Hand" is the band's latest single that stick again with that legendary post punk vibe from the 80's, the band's new album had the collaboration of the legendary Clem Burke from Blondi who managed to work in 10 of the 11 tracks before his demise last year, the track was produced by Ian McCulloch, Alan Moulder & Andrea Wright.

New Music: Western/Martian Skyline

           

           

The Church have announced their 28th studio album — a stat that would close out most careers and is, for this lot, simply Thursday. Lacuna lands October 30 via Cooking Vinyl, and shares the lead single "Western"; Steve Kilbey has said the title came straight from the setting, a nod to a childhood spent absorbing TV. It also arrives paired with second track "Martian Skyline", the pair following on from last year's "Sacred Echoes (Part Two)." Kilbey calls the album “intense, forlorn, and exultant” — as tidy a summary as any for a band still finding new corners inside their own sound: jangling guitars, atmospheric post-punk, dream-pop haze. 

New Music: Fade To Grey

           

Midge Ure has just announced the compilation “Chapters: The Best Of” on 13 November 2026 via Chrysalis Records. The collection gathers his 1980s hits and key album tracks in new 2026 stereo mixes, alongside first-time studio recordings of two songs long associated with his career. "Chapters: The Best Of" follows Ure's recent studio album "A Man Of Two Worlds" and brings together his solo catalogue with material connected to Visage and Thin Lizzy. For the first time, Ure has recorded new studio versions of Visage's "Fade To Grey" and Phil Lynott's "Yellow Pearl," a song he originally co-wrote. The first single is actually "Fade To Grey" in a new fresh version of this 80's hit classic.

New Music: Beginner Boys

           

Simple Minds started off in Glasgow way back in 1977 and the group's two longtime members, singer Jim Kerr and guitarist Charlie Burchill, are about to celebrate their 50th anniversary nxt week and will publish their joint memoir Our Secrets Are The Same. But now it's time to share the band's new single "Beginner Boys" taken from their forthcoming album Sacrosanct. Kerr says that the brooding lead single "Beginner Boys" is about watching his grandsons grow up, "how strength, tenderness, courage, and gentleness might still belong together, even when the wider culture around them can send mixed signals. It's less a statement than a question I hope they'll spend their lives answering for themselves." 

New Music: The Light That Surrounds You

           

Echo & The Bunnymen have shared "The Light That Surrounds You," the second single taken from their forthcoming album Apples For Isaac. The song finds Ian McCulloch offering words of hope and redemption, set against a swirl of guitar built for festival fields and wide-open spaces. The new track follows previous single "Brussels Is Haunted" and offers another glimpse of Apples For Isaac, the band's 13th studio album and their first collection of new music in twelve years. The album is set for release on September 18 via BMG and follows 2014’s Meteorites and the 2018 compilation The Stars, The Oceans & The Moon. It will be available on black vinyl, limited splatter vinyl, limited picture disc, CD and digital formats.

New Music: Garden

           

Alabama Shakes have unveiled  "Garden", the latest preview of their eagerly anticipated new album "I Must Be Dreaming". The track arrives ahead of the record's release later this month, marking another milestone as the band prepare to return with their first full-length studio album in more than ten years. "I Must Be Dreaming" will be released on the 28th August, and represents the group's long-awaited return following a decade away from the album format. With anticipation continuing to build, the release of 'Garden' offers another compelling taste of what promises to be one of the band's most significant projects to date.

New Music: Now We Can't Be Friends

          

Bloc Party has premiered a new song called "Now We Can't Be Friends," a track off the band's upcoming album, Anatomy of a Brief Romance. The single marks the third song to be released off Anatomy of a Brief Romance, following "Coming on Strong" and "Love Bomb." the new album it's due out September 11.

New Music: Lonely In The Future

           

The Strokes return with a new album, Reality Awaits. And now shares a new track called "Lonely In The Future", which according to lead singer Julian Casablanca explains why there’s no need to repeat themselves. The new track is a fuzzy, angular banger in which Casablancas lashing out at critics, clones, and the like. With his voice constricted by the Auto-Tune plugin, he begins with a been-there-done-that sentiment.

New Music: I Feel Hope Coming

           

The Alabama Shakes have shared their optimistic new single "I Feel Hope Coming,"  the latest track off I Must Be Dreaming, the reunited band's first album in 11 years. The new single is a call to protest. "This younger generation makes me feel hopeful because they can see through all the political lies — that song’s about holding onto that hope, and refusing to give up," Brittany Howard said of the track in a statement. 

New Music: My Lover

           

The Afghan Whigs shares their new single "My Lover" a song that neatly distills the emotional ambivalence of a deceitful relationship sustained by lust but doomed to fail, it's the 3rd., single taken from the band's forthcoming new album "Soft Control" due out next 8th., August.

New Music: Blue Shadows

           

The Avalanches are back and now shares "Blue Shadows" the second collaboration between The Avalanches and Karen O, the solo artist and Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman having featured on "Dial D For Devotion" from the band’s 2020 album We Will Always Love You. “Blue Shadows” also marks the third single from The Avalanches in 2026, the track follows "Every Single Weekend" with Jamie xx and "Together" with Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza and Prentiss.

New Music: Get Up And Dance

           

The UK band Man/Woman/Chainsaw have dropped a new single "Get Up and Dance", featuring Emmie-Mae Avery on lead vocals, the track is off the band’s debut LP Cannonball. From Emmie-Mae: “In my mind it’s set in a club, where you spot someone who’s been trying their luck with different people all night and decide to turn the game back on them. It starts playful but then takes a forceful approach, as you push them to prove their interest and test how far they’ll go, aiming to have them make a fool of themselves.”

New Music: Stand Up

           

The British synth pop icon Howard Jones is back with a new single "Stand Up" the song marks his return to the classic analog sound by prominently featuring his restored Roland Jupiter-8 synthesizer. Lyrically, the song is an empowering anthem about recognizing your own greatness, inspired by a 1972 poem from the late Civil Rights icon Rev. Jesse Jackson. It serves as the lead single for his upcoming studio album.

New Music: Liars

           

The legendary Manchester post-punk act, The Durutti Column are back and have announced Renascent, their first new studio album in 16 years. The new record, led once again by the unmistakable guitar work of Vini Reilly, is due this summer via London Records, with Bandcamp currently listing the digital release for July 10 and physical editions shipping around July 31. The album follows 2010’s A Paean to Wilson and arrives after the recent expanded reissue campaign surrounding the band’s Factory Records-era catalog. Alongside Reilly, Renascent features longtime Durutti Column percussionist Bruce Mitchell and producer/multi-instrumentalist Keir Stewart. To mark the announcement, The Durutti Column have shared the first single, “Liars,” a graceful return set to a low, downtempo beat with a faint trip-hop sway and a touch of dream-pop atmosphere. Reilly’s smoky, close-miked vocals are counterbalanced by feminine sighs and warm electronic washes, but the center remains that guitar: clean, fluid, and instantly recognizable, with elaborate yet controlled melodic phrases that breathe like poetry.

New Music: Do Things My Own Way (Cornelius Remix)

           

Sparks finally has shared "Do Things My Own Way (Cornelius remix)" after the legendary duo Sparks returned last year to Japan with four performances scheduled, they released in addition on the Japanese edition of "MAD!" a remix of this track by Cornelius now available for fans worldwide.  

New Music: Billy Says

           

Graham Coxon released the single "Billy Says," the first of ten songs from "Castle Park"  the never-heard-before 2011 album while reissuing all of his solo records. The Blur guitarist turned solo star and one half of The Waeve  will be reissuing all of his solo albums over the next 12 months, starting with his 1998 debut "The Sky Is Too High" and 2000 follow-up' "The Golden D" arriving on 19 June. produced by Ben Hillier, the album was recorded in 2011 as part of the sessions for 'A+E' and originally intended as a follow up his eight solo LP, but postponed due to Blur’s initial reunion and then abandoned as Coxon moved on to other projects. "Billy Says", a regular feature from Coxon’s live sets and echoing the album’s classic Mod sound with hints of The Kinks and the guitarists inimitable knack for a sweet and simple guitar-pop hook.

New Music: The Man Who Stole Your Soul

            

Legendary Scottish singer, songwriter and producer Midge Ure has released a new single, "The Man Who Stole Your Soul", offering the latest preview of his forthcoming album "A Man Of Two Worlds," due out on May 8 through Chrysalis Records. The track arrives as Ure prepares to launch a global tour spanning the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and New Zealand later this year. The new single "The Man Who Stole Your Soul" captures that perspective. According to Ure, the song reflects his concerns about social and political division, particularly in the United States, and the broader climate of tension shaping international discourse. About the album, "A Man Of Two Worlds" represents a significant addition to Ure's catalogue, not only because it ends a 12-year gap between studio albums but also because of its distinctive structure. The double album is divided into two conceptual halves. The first section, titled World One: Music, contains eight instrumental compositions. The second, World Two: Songs, features eight vocal tracks.

 

New Music: Gasoline Girls

           

Amos' new album In Times Of Dragons comes out in a couple of weeks, and after shared the early tracks "Stronger Together" and "Shush." She's got another one today Amos' florid, majestic new track "Gasoline Girls" hits right in that Tori Amos zone, as she meets a lesbian motorcycle gang while escaping her corrupt "lizard demon" billionaire husband.  . In a press release, Amos says, "This is a metaphor for many different transformations — from a teenage girl becoming a woman, to shifts in gender identity or fundamental belief systems, to the life changes that come with pregnancy, motherhood, and eventually menopause. The song explores the emotions that come with leaving one version of yourself behind and stepping into another.

New Music: Happy New Tears

           

Sire Records release "Happy New Tears" by Morrissey. The song will be available as a digital download. On May 22, Sire Records will globally release a Deluxe 12-inch vinyl disc of Notre-Dame, from the album Make-up is a Lie. The 12-inch will include both Hello Hell and Happy New Tears available for the first time on vinyl. Also, the disc will include a previously unreleased orchestrated version of Notre-Dame, with all strings recorded in Paris. New Music: Raindrops

           

Rick Astley shares the new single "Raindrops" on time when it comes as his huge UK and Ireland headline arena tour gets underway in Glasgow tonight. Good vibes all the time to describe Rick's joyous, hit-packed live show and that feeling pulsates throughout "Raindrops". It is punchy, anthemic pop-rock with an exhilaratingly soulful hook that makes a passionate plea to be given another chance. In the process, it also encourages us to keep the faith that good times will soon follow bad. The track was written solely by Rick Astley. It was produced by his long-term friend, the two-time Grammy. Rick says about the single: “‘Raindrops’ is about letting the person you love the most down. They’ve seen your worst and you want to know is this the end, you can feel the ‘Raindrops’ falling and know the pain you’ve caused but you’re asking for one more chance.
