La Reedición: Automatic For The People Super Deluxe Edition

 

Bajo el sello Concord Music's Craft Records, el próximo mes de noviembre sale al mercado la reedicion deluxe del icónico álbum de R.E.M. "Automatic For The People" lanzado en 1992.

Era algo que ya se veía venir, primero porque muchos de los discos de la banda han recibido el mismo trato por motivo de su respectivo aniversario de lanzamiento, y segundo porque se trata de uno de los discos más determinantes en la carrera de la banda, por eso se tomará como modelo lo hecho el año pasado cuando se lanzo de una manera similar el "Out Of Time".

Sobre la reedición destacamos que el CD1 viene remasterizado directo de las cintas analogas por lo que será la versión original del disco, el CD2 ofrece 13 tracks en directo del concierto benéfico para Greenpeace que la banda hizo en el 40 Watt Club en su natal Athens, Georgia. Esta presentación se hizo cinco semanas después de que el disco saliera al mercado y contiene cuatro tracks del mismo. El CD3 ofrece 20 demos entre los que se destaca ciertos tracks como "Peter's New Song", y "Bill's Acoustic", así como algunas grabaciones ineditas como "Mike's Pop Song" y una canción perdida llamada "Devil Rides Backwards", el CD4 es un blu-ray que viene con la nueva tecnología Dolby Atmos surround sound mix más un bonus track "Photograph" interpretado con Natalie Merchant.

Bajó la nueva reedición estan el productor original Scott Litt y el ingeniero Clif Norrell, quienes comentaron que de hecho, este será el primer disco que se va a lanzar bajo el formato Dolby Atmos, que es basicamente la versión máxima del sistema 5.1, el cual con las herramientas adecuadas ofrece una sensación sonora única, aunque sino se tiene las herramientas basicas de todas formas la calidad sonora es la mejor.

El blu-ray contiene los promo videos de los singles que salieron del disco incluyendo dos versiones de "Nigthswimming" y la EPK (Eletronic Press Release) que salió en aquel entonces, además que viene con una alta resolución stereo, por último destacamos el libreto cuadrado de 60 hojas que contiene algunas fotos inéditas tomadas por Anton Corbijn y Melodie McDaniel entre 1992 y 1993, y y con una variación a la portada del disco de 1992, solo la versión en vinilo mantiene la portada original, más una entrevista con los cuatro miembros a cargo Tom Doyle, todo esto en una caja de 12" x 12".  

A parte saldrán otras versiones, una 2CD-Deluxe con el disco remasterizado y el directo, más el libreto y un poster, y un LP remasterizado con codigo de descarga por anunciar. La caja sale a la venta el próximo 10 de noviembre.
