The foursome from Manchester, Maruja have dropped a new single "Trenches," the track is off the UK band's debut album Pain to Power, produced by Samuel W. Jones. The song, is a call for change,
solidarity and love in deeply troubling times, the track directly quotes
the words of revolutionary socialist and activist Fred Hampton: "there
will be no revolution 'til the people believe that they are
revolutionary". "Trenches" captures the anger of a generation
unheard and their desire for change, it’s a reminder to the listener
that they are not what this culture teaches, they are, in fact, powerful
beyond measure and when they believe in themselves, can make a
difference. The song is a call for revolution in the face of the
oppressive.
