New Music: Full-Time Heist

          

Joan Wasser aka Joan As Police Woman returns with a new single "Full-Time Heist" the song according the lyrics examine the fickle trappings of celebrity without judgment. Speaking on her original inspiration, Joan As Police Woman said: “‘Full-Time Heist’ is about an attempted bank robbery. The bank, in this case, is truth. The hook of the song uses the phrase "pull the wool over one’s eyes". The etymology comes from 18th century wig-wearing gentlemen. Thieves would try to steal from them by pulling their massive wigs over their eyes.The video is directed by Sekou Abineri dissecting the anguish that comes with a passionate love affair through dance, on a deserted stretch of beach. Clara Davidson and Emma Aldjia Belabed play the lovers caught mid-argument in their broken-down car, as the black-clad Joan walks by and then observes how their conflict unravels via expressive movement. It's a process which explores unbridled emotion in a controlled and dramatic fashion, to accompany the delicately soulful Full Time Heist.

Joan As Police Woman estrena el video de su interesante single "Tell Me" el segundo que se extrae de manera oficial de su nuevo disco "Damned Devotion" lanzado el pasado 9 de Febrero, el video ha sido dirigido por Brian Cano, a quién Joan conoció hace algún tiempo viniendo con la idea de que a Cano le gusta mucho crear personas y de ahí la idea de una especia de interrogatorio en donde sale desde una reina glamorosa, una chef, la interrogadora, la fotógrafa, una tiradora, y en un punto hasta sale una piñata que la destrozan lanzando varios papelitos con brillantina, buen tema y por supuesto Joan como siempre elegante, guapa y talentosa en todo sentido.

Joan Wasser mejor conocida como Joan As Police Woman esta de vuelta con nuevo single "Warning Bell" el cual fue lanzado a finales de noviembre pasado pero hasta ahorita ha llegado a nuestros oídos el corte que viene en su nueva producción "Damned Devotion" bajo el sello Play It Again Sam y que será lanzada el próximo 9 de Febrero, el clip corre a cargo de H. Spencer Young con Joan cantando en la parte trasera de un taxi, interpretando tan intensa y a la vez dulce canción cuyas letras tan descriptivas y misteriosas le dieron el toque para que pasearan por la noche húmeda de New York pasando por muchos lugares emblemáticos como Chinatown y partes de Brooklyn.
