IN MEMORIAM BRIAN JAMES (1955-2025): The iconic guitarist founder of the Damned and TLords Of The New Church died aged 70 according an statement in his account in facebook. IN MEMORIAM DAVID JOHANSEN (19502-2025): The wiry, gravelly-voiced singer and last surviving member of the glam and protopunk band the New York Dolls who later performed as his campy, pompadoured alter ego, Buster Poindexter, has died. He was 75. Johansen died Friday at his home in New York City, Jeff Kilgour, a family spokesperson told The Associated Press. It was revealed in early 2025 that he had stage 4 cancer and a brain tumor. IN MEMORIAM GENE HACKMAN 1930-2025): Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman and his wife appeared to have been dead for "quite a while" when the couple and their dog were found on Wednesday afternoon at their home in the US state of New Mexico, police say. Hackman, 95, was discovered in a side room near the kitchen of the house in Santa Fe, while his wife Betsy Arakawa, a 65-year-old classical pianist, was found in a bathroom. Authorities reported no signs of injury but deemed the deaths "suspicious enough" to investigate and have not ruled out foul play. No cause of death was given. IN MEMORIAM MICHELLE TRACHTENBERG (1985-2025): Trachtenberg was found unconscious and unresponsive Wednesday and determined dead by EMS officials. The NYPD said no criminal involvement is suspected and the investigation is ongoing. IN MEMORIAM RICK BUCKLER (1955-2025): The Jam's iconical drummer Rick Buckler has died aged 69 the causes of his deceased still unknown. PULP ANNOUNCE TOUR 2025: The new shows are in addition to their homecoming headline performance at Tramlines. Kicking off in Glasgow on 7th June, this newly-announced run of shows will see the pop-rock legends stop off in Dublin, London, Birmingham, and Manchester, before then taking to the stage in their hometown of Sheffield to headline the city’s Tramlines Festival in July. MASSIVE ATTACK THE FINAL HEADLINER AT LIDO: New London event LIDO has unveiled that this year’s fifth and final headliner will be none other than Bristol icons Massive Attack, who join Jamie xx, Charli xcx, London Grammar, and Turnstile as the artists topping the bill for LIDO’s inaugural series of day fests. Set to take place on Friday 6th June, Massive Attack’s headline turn in Victoria Park will be their first London festival show in nine years. THOM YORKE AND MARK PRITCHARD NEW COLABORATION: Both have joined forces for the second time on a new collaborative single, aptly titled ‘Back In The Game’. The Radiohead and The Smile frontman last worked with the ’90s electronic titan nine years ago, on 2016 number ‘Beautiful People’ (which featured on Pritchard’s solo LP, ‘Under The Sun’). This latest track finds the pair on characteristically experimental form, with Yorke’s vocals - distorted by an H910 Harmonizer, one of the world’s first devices for audio digital effects - gliding over a glitchy, immersive electronic soundscape. ‘Back In The Game’ also comes accompanied by a frankly fever dream video (directed by Jonathan Zawada), in which gaudily garbed masked figures march their way through the streets.
