The Moonlandingz the avant-garde group enlist Iggy Pop for their latest release, accompanied by a movement-led journey into male vulnerability on their new single "It's Where I'm From", accompanied by a new
music video – directed by Jeanie Crystal. The third instalment of a
three-part collaboration with the director, the new visual delves into
themes of male vulnerability, sexuality, insecurities and ego,
translated through movement. Talking about the project, Crystal
says, "I'm always thinking about the very obvious correlation to me
between the rock icon, messiah/demagogue and the father and how these
figures influence the behaviours of boys and men. This is the finale of a
three piece sequence (for The Moonlandingz) about male vulnerability,
sexuality, and the absurd complexities of trying to understand the label
of man." The group's second album "No Rocket Required" is set for release on 25 April via Transgressive Records.
