New Music: Violins

           

Blondshell has a new album on the way, produced by Yves Rothman, Sabrina Teitelbaum aka Blondshell new album Violins is set for release on September 25, Now the LA based rocker released the title track new single which sums up the album in a lot of ways according to Teitelbaum: When I was writing I felt really drawn to images of patience and kindness, for example putting your head on someone’s shoulder, alongside images of violence. I was also inspired by the idea of healing slowly and refusing to be rushed by any outside force. Things genuinely just take the time they take. I’m not at a point in life where I can have a no assholes policy yet, but I like the idea of weeding out people that aren’t going to let me have limitations. In the Sabra Binder-directed video, below, Teitelbaum undergoes a tumultuous bonding experience with a melting ice sculpture of a fawn. 

New Music: Heart Has To Work So Hard

           

Sabrina Teitelbaum aka Blondshell is sharing her new single "Heart Has To Work So Hard."  A brooding, grunge-inspired song about a platonic relationship, she adds in a press release: This song is really about friendship and betrayal, getting stuck in a dynamic and letting things fester. It’s about pain and confusion — no one trains you for the ups and downs of a friendship between two women — but it’s also about a love so enduring that you find compassion no matter what,.

New Music: Event Of A Fire

           

Blondshell has shared her new song "Event Of A Fire." The songwriter's new album "If You Asked For A Picture" will be released on May 2nd, reuniting Blondshell with producer Yves Rothman. New song is the final preview from the record, and it stems from the period of frenetic touring that followed her debut. Written during a burn-out haze while spending time on the road, "Event Of A Fire" is rooted in her own life – she started writing it after a real 4 a.m. hotel fire evacuation outside Boston. The video for the single stars up-and-coming French actress Ghjuvanna Benedetti and was directed by Emilé Moutaud.

New Music: What's Fair

           

Blondshell aka Sabrina Teitelbaum released a new single "What's Fair", a song about any relationship between a mother and a daughter  which is inherently complicated, she has reflected, speaking more about the song’s subject matter. "Maybe it’s because of my own relationship, which was grounded in a lot of trauma and loss, but I think it’s always confusing. What are you allowed to expect, what is normal, what behavior from a parent is okay or not okay etc? And to what extent does normal even matter when your experience is all you have. I was just trying to sift through the past when I wrote this song and I mostly had a lot of questions", in the video you can see the artist playing alongside her bandmates.
