Se nos viene un nuevo episodio de la serie Now Yearbook, que nos lleva de vuelta a los 80's y ahora toca el turno de 1985 por medio del "Now Yearbook 85". Si para muchos 1984 fue el mejor año para el pop, 1985 se les puso muy de cerca gracias al Live Aid, MTV en su máximo esplendor y artistas como Queen y Tears For Fears gozando de un autentico éxito global.
El recopilatorio abre con "One Vision" de Queen, y sigue con los recien llegados a-ha y su icónico "Take On Me", para darle lugar a los majestuosos Tears For Fears con sus temas "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" y "Shout", además de otros cláiscos como "Easy Lover" de Phil Collins y Philip Bailey, "We Close Our Eyes" de Go West", Dead Or Alive con su clásico "Spin Me Around" en el disco 1.
Hay otros temas más esparcidos en los demas discos como "19" de Paul Hardcastle, "Axel F" de Harold Faltermeyer, "Trapped" del Colonel Abraham, "How Soon Is Now" de The Smiths, en el disco 3 que es el más alternative con temas de bandas como The Cure, The Cult, Red Box, Stephen Duffy, The Style Council, Fine Young Cannibals, Propaganda y The Dream Academy entre otros.
Aunque hay algunas notables omisiones y quizás errores, como por ejemplo "I Want To Know What Love Is" de Foreigner, la cual sino estoy mal sonó en 1984, también decidieron poner el tema "Cloudbusting" de Kate Bush es vez del icónico "Running Up That Hill", que más da que ya la quemaron gracias a Stranger Things lo cual se agradece, pero debió haber sido puesta aquí, tampoco viene "West End Girls" de Pet Shop Boys que originalmente se lanzo en 1984 pero pegó en 1985 aunque del otro lado del charco llegó en 1986 dejando un poco incompleta la recopilación.
Son un total de 79 tracks en 4CD, con un libreto de pasta dura, y 3LP en vinilo verde, además de la edición estandard de 4CD, que será puesta a la venta este 4 de Noviembre.
