Bdrmm is releasing their new track "Lake Disappointment," the third single from their highly anticipated upcoming album, "Microtonic." Set to drop on February 28th., this track underscores the Hull-based band’s bold growth in their sound—a fusion of shoegaze and dance music elements. Guitarist and vocalist Ryan Smith describes this track as one of their most aggressive pieces yet, encapsulating the transitional phase the band embraced after supportive performances with DJ Daniel Avery and at Field Day. This experience pushed them to explore electronic influences more deeply, resulting in a sound that both subverts and expands upon their established style. The music video by Joe & Scott Gist showcases the band’s creative vision, filmed in an abandoned warehouse in Sheffield. The concept of a dystopian TV shopping channel adds a quirky layer to their presentation, reflecting the band’s willingness to innovate while paying homage to their roots.
