New Music: Bang Bang Bang

           

British indie rockers Sports Team shares their new single "Bang Bang Bang" inspired-following armed robbery incident in California, the Mercury Prize-nominated British band Sports Team says the song is a bold, gritty, and darkly satirical critique of contemporary American culture, filled with references to gun violence and consumerism. The track features a classic rock sound with Western-inspired elements. The release is not only an important commentary on the gun culture in America, but also a personal one for the band given their experiences in late 2024 when they were robbed at gunpoint in the Bay Area outside a Vallejo Starbucks. ‘Bang Bang Bang’ will feature on the band’s upcoming studio album ‘Boys These Days’, out on May 23 on Bright Antenna Records/Distiller Records.
