To the sound of a smooth bassline and glittery synths shimmering around ghastly vocals, Van Etten sings about a world in disarray. Despite the ongoing chaos and what she sees on the TV, she finds a way to tune it out, contrasting the banquet of sonic textures in the song, intense happy drums and an acid-jazz-laced guitar, you get what might be one of the most kinetic tracks to ever come out of Van Etten's catalog.
