Discos: Hidden Treasures The Complete Singles

Para celebrar los 20 años de vida de la banda galesa Manic Street Preachers ha salido al mercado una nueva recopilación la 3era. en toda su carrera artistica y que antecede al: "Forever Delayed: Manic Street Preachers, The Greatest Hits" del 2002 y "The B-sides/rarities collection Lipstick Traces (A Secret History of Manic Street Preachers)" del 2003.

National Treasures la nueva recopilación contiene la mayoria del singles que la banda ha lanzado al mercado desde el "Motown Junk" de 1991 hasta el fabuloso cover de The The "This Is The Day" que es el último single actualmente en promoción, desgracidamente no vienen todos los singles como una quisiera ya que siempre se quedan fuera notables cortes entre ellos el primerisimo single de la banda "Suicide Alley" de 1989, asi como también tracks que fueron incluidos en su EP de 1990 "New Art Riot", y "You Love Us" la versión del sello Heavenly de 1991, de los singles lanzados originalmente como lados doble A solo uno viene incluido "Love´s Sweet Exile/Repeat" de 1992 y "Faster/P.C.P." de 1994 solo "Love´s Sweet Exile" y "Exile" vienen incluidas.

La colección también incluye singles que no fueron seleccionados para figurar en los charts como el que se incluye en un fanzine llamado "UK Channel Boredom" de 1990, y varios singles lanzados como ediciones limitadas en vinilos, CD´s y descargas mp3 tales como: " Feminine Is Beautiful" de 1991, "God Save the Manics" del 2005, "Underdogs" del 2007, "The Ghosts of Christmas" del 2007, y por supuesto el archiconocido "Umbrella" del 2008, como dato curioso no vienen ningun track del último disco de los Manics "Journal For Plague Lovers" del 2009 ya que oficialmente nunca fueron lanzados singles, a pesar que el single "Jackie Collins Existential Question Time" si tuvo rotación en varios paises.

En un principio pense que el nuevo recopilatorio no valia mucho la pena pero tras revisar el contenido hay ciertas gemas escondidas que nunca antes había tenido la oportunidad de escuchar previamente por lo cual National Treasures se vuelve en objeto tentador, el nuevo disco estara disponible en tres formatos: La edición standar de 2 discos, una edición de lujo con 2 discos y 1 DVD que contiene los videos musicales de los singles disponibles en la recopilación más versiones alternas de "You Love Us", Autumnsong" y el video de "Jackie Collins Existencial Question Time", y por supuesto la super edición de lujo con singles de 7" asi como de New Art Riot.
