New Music: Long Dark Night

           

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds release spiritual ode  single "Long Dark Night" ahead of their new album Wild God. A moving spiritual ode from their forthcoming album Wild God, set for release on 30th August. The band recorded the album in two iconic locations: Miraval in Provence and Soundtree in London. The new track, resonates with echoes of the country music that shaped Cave's early listening habits. Fans might remember his classic track "The Mercy Seat", which was famously covered by Johnny Cash. The song also draws on the deeply spiritual and redemptive themes found in Dark Night of the Soul by the Spanish poet St. John of the Cross. Nick Cave elaborated, "Long Dark Night" is inspired by one of the greatest and most powerful poems of conversion ever written.
