Universal Music ha decidido relanzar "Appetite For Destruction" el magistral debut de la banda de hard rock Guns N' Roses para finales del próximo mes de Junio, se trata de un ambicioso proyecto que incluirá varios formatos que van desde el 4CD+blu-ray en la super deluxe edition, 2LP vinilo, y una monstruosa y extravangate box set llamada "Locked N' Loaded" la cual viene empacada en faux leather y melamina, y contiene todo lo imaginable además de 14 vinilos y una extraordinaria cantidad de material para coleccionistas.
El mega box set contíene 73 tracks más la impresionante cantidad de 49 tracks inéditos, que contiene el álbum remasterizado de las cintas analogas originales, B-Sides N' EP's, el Live Like a Suicide EP, y 25 canciones de las Sound City Session de 1986, dos tracks sin lanzar de las Mike Clink Sessions y un blu-ray audio en 5.1 surround sound mix por Elliot Scheiner.
Claro esta, que hay otra versiones más económicas y apetecibles como el Super Deluxe Edition, que es al que me estoy apuntando con 4CDs y el blu-ray con el álbum original, bonus tracks y videos musicales del mismo en 5.1 surruound sound, el disco también trae el video "It's So Easy" grabado en 1989, pero que nunca se llegó a terminar, además un libreto en pasta dura de 96 páginas con fotos inéditas de Axl Rose provenientes de sus archivos personales y mucha memorabilia como replicas de tickets de conciertos, posters, litografías, una obra de Robert Williams y una replica del flyer para las tomas del video de "Welcome To The Jungle" con notas de Slash.
El problema es que el "Locked N' Loaded" esta demasiado caro, casi unos U$900.00 por lo tanto al tipo de cambio más los costos de envio, estariamos hablando de más Q.8,000.00 y dudo mucho que alguien quiera gastar tanto dinero el algo por estilo, aún teniendolo. Esta mega box set incluuye todos los super deluxe DC, los vinilos, siete 7" en vinilo amarillo, 12 ilustraciones que visualizan cada canción del disco, posters, botones, parches, picks de guitarra, un USB, un cubre tornamesas y demás cosas que a la larga no son tan necesarias.
También hay una version 2CD deluxe edition, mucho más económica que a la larga es la que también resulta importando ya que viene con el disco original remasterizado, y otro con los B-sides, EP tracks y algunos tracks de la Sound City Sessions de 1986, y finalmente una versión estandard en vinilo grueso que contiene el Hologroove Hologram de la banda en lado 4 de los mismos. En conclusión, la elección sería la 4CD+blu-ray super deluxe que como lo explicaba al principio del post, trae lo que a uno le interesa como los discos y los lados B, más los videos en blu-ray y 5.1 surround sound, los videos quizás una que otra vez se van a ver, los discos sonaran mucho más en especial el álbum original, más el libreto y listo, una compra sensata. Mientras que con la masiva mega box set, el problema no solo es el precio sino que después les aseguro que aún siendo más de hueso duro de la banda, muy dificíl van a tener tiempo de escuchar todo el material y quizás una sola vez lo hagan, y si se aburren o se arrepienten de tenerla, dudo mucho que alguien se las compre y si eso pasa, será por un precio mucho menor.
Appetite For Destruction fue lanzado en 1987 y se convirtío el disco clave para el éxito masivo de la banda, mejor de debutar no pudieron pedir aunque lamentablemente, su sonido fue diluyendose poco a poco a pesar de ofrecer algunas buenas entregas a nivel comercial y creativo, pero su mero zenith fue con este disco. La reedición sale a la venta el próximo 29 de Junio de 2018.
