Regarding the sound, the album maintained the youthful pop that made them famous on their debut album, a pop very much in keeping with the times, with certain European influences, seasoned with synthesizers, and youthful lyrics about love relationships, flirting, and a certain girl power, amidst danceable tracks and charming ballads.
